Self-published Poetry
Winter 2022 I started writing poetry when I was about 14 years old, and have continued writing throughout my life. At the age of 25, I made a small collection of what I felt were the best poems of the last 10 years (ages 14 to 24), and published a chapbook titled "Quarter Century Collection." My poems typically deal with my experience as an aromantic asexual person living in the world. |
Volunteer for LGBT Music History
Summer 2020 to Spring 2021 LGBT Music History is an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing people from all sides of the music industry who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. I work to research artists, write about their contributions, and organize everything so that it is ready to share. Here is some content I helped create: Shea Diamond Jean-Baptiste De Lully |
Contributor to Alphabet Hour's Art Collections
Summer 2020 to Summer 2022 Alphabet Hour is an online art collective for LGBTQIA+ people to share creative work with each other in an encouraging space. I have showcased various monthly projects (writing, painting, photoshop, etc.) since their online debut. |
Volunteer for the Planetary Society
Winter 2018 to Summer 2019 The Planetary Society is an internationally active non-profit that advocates for engineering projects related to astronomy, space exploration, and planetary science. I volunteered at the front desk, helping members navigate our programs and resolve any issues they have. |
Interview on NPR
Summer 2016 I discussed asexuality on KPCC's Take Two. I have identified as asexual for many years, and I still see a lack of representation in both the world at large and even in the LGBT+ community. It was wonderful to answer questions, share my point of view, and help spread awareness. Listen here. |
Fall 2015
Working alongside a team, I developed a live show for Pasadena City College's Lancer Radio Network. We created an hour long show about campus hunger and food options for faculty, staff, and students. I specifically worked as a field anchor, and was in charge of interviewing a guest I invited to the show, as well as bouncing back to the studio. |
